I'm Will - The founder of car-stuff.co.uk. After doing 20+ years in a corporate environment, I decided to leave that behind and start something my heart is really into. They say do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life and I love all things cars... so it made me think about creating a website selling all sorts of car stuff (see where the name came from?). I wanted to have some of my own products on here, which I'll explain below, but also bring together a community of other like-minded small businesses selling similar products. The idea is to create a marketplace where car enthusiasts can come and find all sorts of great gifts for friends, family or just to treat themselves!

Naturally my kids are also car lovers and are really into their Hotwheels and Matchbox cars. I still have loads of my original 80s Matchbox cars and love watching them play with them. That gave me the idea to create a better version of the traditional car play mat which tended to be bulky, have bendy corners, werent very realistic etc and came up with a design for a carpark style mat, which is available to buy now and has had some great feedback. The beauty of this mat is that I tried to target both kids and grown ups. The little ones have fun driving about and lining their cars up in the parking spaces, whilst the adults like creating life-like diorama's, thanks to the super realistic detail. I've had loads of ideas for additional designs and am working on a couple already, so watch this space for more!
